I am an award-winning journalist, filmmaker and producer based in Washington, DC. I use a documentary approach to storytelling to create powerful content that enthralls, inspires and makes an impact.

Over the past 15 years, I have reported and produced stories across four continents—from Sicily, where I followed a whole town standing up to the mafia, to war-torn Kabul, Afghanistan; from New York and London on the trail of murky derivative trades to Morocco’s cheap labor hub of Casablanca. My work includes documentaries, reportages, and video campaigns. I build sophisticated, character-driven narratives and edit them with cinematic flare to create a riveting, authentic experience for viewers. I firmly believe any story can be artfully told and crafted into content that has substance, relevance and emotional weight—no matter how big or small the production.

My approach is deeply rooted in my background in journalism. I was formerly a co-producer at RainMedia for PBS FRONTLINE, where I worked with veteran correspondent Martin Smith and producer Marcela Gaviria on some of the biggest stories of the last decade. Among the films I helped produce were the Emmy-winning four-part series “Money, Power and Wall Street;” “The Interrogator;” “The Battle for Syria;” and “WikiSecrets.”

A native Italian, I was raised and educated in Italy, Germany, France and England. In 2006 I moved to the US to study documentary at the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism. My first documentary, "Pizzo," won a student Emmy, among other awards, and aired nationally on PBS.

Before moving to the US, I was a reporter for Italian national news wire Adnkronos, where I covered the Arab World and conflict areas such as Pakistan, Afghanistan and Lebanon. My print stories have appeared in leading international outlets, including The Wall Street Journal and L'Espresso, and I continue to write besides my documentary work.
